  Denny and Cassie

Cassie - born and raised in Michigan, USA. I am the youngest of 5 and I grew up in a Christian home. At a young age I made a personal faith response to trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. When I was in High School I dedicated my life to God - desiring to be used by Him to share His love with the world. God lead me to attend the Word of Life Bible Institute where I had the opportunity to go to Uganda, Africa in 2006. It was on that 10-day trip that God planted the seed of love for the country and people of Uganda. It wasn't until 2009 while full-filling my requirement to graduate from Baptist Bible College in PA with a degree in Missions that God opened the door for me to return to Uganda for 6 weeks.  While I was there to learn more about missions and to serve the people of Uganda, God had something else in store for me..

Denny was born and raised in Uganda, Africa. One of four children - a twin.

In June 2009
 We first met at the church Denny attends (Berea Baptist Church) and then found out that we would be working with the same organization. Over the coarse of the 6 weeks we were able to see God grow a friendship. Before I left Denny asked for my email address so we could stay in contact. The next several months were filled with emails, instant messaging and a long distance phone call. When I returned to Uganda for another 4 months in May of 2010 we agreed to enter into a "dating" relationship with the intentions of marriage. With a commitment to God and each other we spent the next few years waiting upon God to bring us together. The time between September 2010 til June 2013, God taught us trust in Him and to wait upon His perfect timing. All of 2011 Denny was in Uganda and I was in America...

From September 2010 til April 2012 there were a lot of long distance phone calls and emails, a lot of tears and prayers. I returned to Uganda again in 2012 from May to December to meet his family and for us to have the time to get to know each other more. We also spent time working on Denny's visa to come to the USA. When I returned to the States in December, Denny continued the process for the visa.  He had to make several trips back and forth to the US Embassy in Kenya for his Interview and medical appointments. In March of 2013 he passed his medical test with flying colors and in April in he was granted his visa to the USA. We purchased his plane ticket on a Friday and He was here by Wednesday! On June 22, 2013 before God, family and friends we said "I Do" vowing  to be committed to each other and God in love and marriage.
 
Two years later, on June 28th, 2015,  We were blessed with a healthy baby boy named, Asher  Nuwagaba. He has brought great joy to our lives, as we watch him grow and develop. 

God has been and is so faithful to us. We can and we will tell of His goodness to all generations!  We believe that God has called us to serve Him in Uganda.  We are currently in our pre-field ministry. Our goal is to be fully supported and funded by January 2018. We are looking for those who God will partner with us in this great adventure He is calling us to.
